If you get this frustrated waiting for your licence for fuc&'s sake keep away from me when you actually get on the road.... What you have described is standard - is it exactly the 'DVLA Scum '(nasty word, little girl) fault if they didn't receive your application until this week??? They are now processing your application and have had the good grace to return your documents while they get your licence ready - for that you should be grateful - they could just wait until the whole process is complete and then sent you everything back together. And as for the Royal Mail 'selfish bastards' wait until you are in a job (assuming anyone will employ a nasty piece of work like you) and have a grievance with your employer... will you then think twice about strike action if you feel driven to that???
Finally, your diatribe is not a question, so please refrain from abusing YA in this way.

There is no point in venting your anger on here. Call the DVLA and explain in a calm manner what your problem is then you may get it resolved. Dont stress out at them or they wont help and probably call you a name or something!

What ever you do, don't read the letter, find out what they need, and comply with it because then you will be out on the road with that attitude, and we don't need another driver on the road blaming everyone else for their driving. Instead, stay at the computer and vent your frustrations on Yahoo! Answers, and keep the road safe.
Thank you.

That's weird, I sent off for a provisional for my younger brother and we got it back within two weeks I think it was. Perhaps you didn't send them the right amount of money or the right document. We sent his passport and a cheque for the right amount.

I've been waiting since February for a new licence since completing a medical questionnaire. When I ring, they say they are looking at it but they're busy. We're all busy!

I can understand your frustration. did they say why they returned your application. there must have been something wrong with it. Its not difficult as they want everything perfect on the forms.
did you get your photo signed by a professional ??

Why don't you save all your grieveances for them? write a letter of complaint if you feel let down by the system.
