Floods, tsunamis, monsoons -- there are all sorts of water related disasters. What is your assignment, or, more specifically, what is the question you are trying to answer?

The first answer is quite complete for the disasters with too much water, there are problems, serious problems due to too little water, drought can cause famine.

If you read the news, the two big recent ones are the Tsunami in Southeast Asia and the New Orleans flood.

Generally, the above poster hit them all: floods, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc.
