This part actually happened....My mother really liked my husband when we were just friends. When we started dating, she couldn't stand him. She did not show up when we got married. There were all kinds of problems during our first year of marriage between my husband and my mother with me in the middle. She passed away the week of our first anniversary, and buried her on our anniversary. That has been 7 years ago. Since then, she has shown up in my dreams many times. And every time, she doesn't know me. Any idea what this means? Any interpretations would be appreciated.

Okay I'll try.
Let's first look at your dream being an ordinary dream, meaning it's just a dream about you.
Deep in your subconscious you may entertain the thought your mother ceases to be your mother since you have started dating and now your husband because you think of her as your rival to your husband's love. It was a powerful suggestion that you consciously wouldn't want to entertain because she was your mother and that it would complicate things. Buried deep in your subconscious it is now coming out as dreams. If I am correct on this, you only need to acknowledge it consciously and let go and forgive yourself. Do it sincerely. If you do it right the dream would stop. If not continue to repeat the process until you have brought it all out in the open. It also good if you could find someone you trust to talk this out.
Now if the dream is telephatic in nature, then your mother is sending a message that even in her grave she is disowning you as her daughter. But this thing I doubt. Usually a departed one find peace in their new world, dissociating herself with all mundane connections. It is only extreme hatred would a departed one be roaming around the hot area as ghost. If you don't feel of her presence around aside of dreaming her, most likely the dream is all about you.

The dream means that subconsciously you really know the reason why your mother was fond of your husband before you started dating and not afterward. Subconsciously you know that she was attracted to him and then couldn't deal with her own jealousy when you started dating him and then married him. Your dreams are just your minds way of attempting to resolve the betrayal that you feel.

Dreams are just the organisation of wild ideas, the brain does. So, if you are getting many dreams about your mom not knowing you after, your problems, it means that you were just thinking of her going to extreme extents such as disowning you.

The first thing that comes to mind is that she is still mad at you for marrying him. Have you tried talking to her in your dreams . you can you know.
it also sounds like she kind of disowned you or is ashamed of her actions and is afraid to acknowledge it.
