Let me break it down for you. Any of these are good:
1. Hi. Ahem...what's your name?
2. What time do you get off work?
3. Hey, I like your _______ (anything he's wearing, or smile, etc).
4. Hand him a small piece of paper with your phone number and tell him to call you as you walk with your coffee.
And if nothing works, I would suggest you download Keri Noble's "Talk to Me," which pretty much explains your situation perfectly.

Maybe you can find out where he hangs and show up there. Or go to the coffee shop alot and just start talking to him in an innocent way. Ask him questions about himself. People always like to talk about themselves. Be there at the end of his shift. Maybe one day he will leave with you! Just be careful tho to be patient you could push him away if you seem too obviously interested. If he acts interested wait till he mentions something you have in common and give him your phone number while saying that maybe you could go do that thing together sometime. If you first just be a friend then maybe you won't freak him out. There's always time to grow a relationship later. Good luck!

So for homosexuals, curiously, that's any opposite direction around. Yee-Hah! The Marlboro guy

if you don't have a coffee addiction i suggest you pick one up real quick. keep dropping by and ordering coffee. drop commets specifically to him, hmmm, that sure was a good latte, or frappachino. just start up conversations while he's brewin your tea. if things are gonna happen, he'll catch on and things will work themselves out. good luck

Yeah, talk to him. The only way to conquer your fear is to face it. Just talk to him, everyone gets nervous when they talk to a crush. Just relax.
I started dating a guy from a coffee shop once. I got him to notice me by hanging out with the "after hours" crowd. When he came over to talk to us I flirted my cute little butt off and he bit.
