Explain to your child that the bible is just a bunch of make believe stories made up by men trying to scare people into being good, and that a real God would never commit such terrible acts. That is the only true answer.

I would be blunt and say, Jesus hates sin, and if people hold onto sin and do not want to follow him, he has no choice. These people will also be destroyed in hellfire at the last day and will not enjoy eternal life with Christ. I will also tell him/her (depending how old) that you must pray everyday, and think about the love of Jesus, because only truely converted people will live a life with Christ in heaven. This is why Jesus seperated the sheep from the goats - he is seperated the good and bad from the Christian church.

The flood, earthquakes, etc were all punishments on humankind when they stopped worshipping Allah and resorted to idol-worshipping, etc.
Allah never wants to punish His creations. He gives us a million chances to leave ur sins and ask for forgiveness. He also sent Prophets for the astray people. But when even the OProphets' teachings were of no use, Allah saved his believers and destroyed the rest, in order for the world to have a new start with believers only.
Children must be told the reason this way.

Let's presume you have a child and you love him very very much. But no matter what you do, he never listens to you and does only bad things. What would you do to assure him a good future. Wouldn't you punish him? Wouldn't you try to eradicate from his life all the bad things of his behavior? The same with humanity. In His great love for humans, God killed the bad to assure us a better future. Later in our history, God sent His only Son to death for us. He made us His sons, because he loves us as much that we cannot understand with our minds.

in case you do not tell your baby the reality about God then he will be perplexed! The lord is a loving God yet he also will punish you once you misbehave ... clone of mom and dad. in case you bypass the component of punishment then he will advance as a lot as be like alot of those field or rocks those that say "Why do undesirable issues happen if he's meant to be a sturdy God?" ... get my waft?

if my kid asks me, here's my answer... in the first place, God made everything beautiful, at its right place, and peaceful... then came a time that man committed sin, which was against the law of the Lord, and everything wrong done by man would conceive wickedness (consequences)- which is the result of committing a mistake... illistration: if you were a mother, you like your daughter to have her education, and in order for her to make it, you won't let her have bf... u set a rule that if she will have her bf then you would not continue to spend for her education (just an example)... she broke your rule, how would you feel? you'll get angry and be mad at her! and you as person may not forgive her. but with the Lord, he will forgive you, BUT... you have to suffer the consequence/s of what you have done.

Good question.
According to the commentaries, humanity had degraded itself to the level of animals. There was no difference between people and animals as far as behaviour was concerned.
The flood destroyed this evil aspect of humanity, and allowed God to reboot humanity

God gave them chances, he always gives chances, people are just too blind to see that. He gave all those people time enough to stop their ways, they didn't and even though God is patient, patience has its limits. People think they have all the time in the world to do whatever they want. The world has a time limit.

what is so hard about "practically everyone had become bad too bad, and went against god, so he decided to start over, by cleaning the world."
but, again... this is judaism, not christianity... but still has the flood.
is a kid accepting that "most of the people in the world had turned bad, and it was better to just get rid of them and start over" that strange?

I just tell them, and I did to my 2 gals, that God is Holy. . .He is love, but he is also Just.
If daddy is a police man(I was once), and someone did wrong, will I not bring them to jail?
In the same way, if they (my gals) did wrong, should I not bring them to jail? But the different is, It is also me to bail them out.
In the same manner, God loves men, and wanted man to do good. But man remain evil. God had to wipe them out, and form a new group. In his Love, he gave us Jesus, so that we now can thru' Jesus, come to God blamelessly.
This is what I told them.
Just last quarters, I wrote a letter to my daughters School Master, asking her to removed the position of Class monitor, for she has been disobedient. I told her, I will not allow wrong doing, and the same rule apply in school.
I love her, but I also want the best out of her. Only when she is able to learn to be good, she is not ready to be leaders in the schools.
Children taught in love and discipline, when they grown up, they will know their position in the society, and in the eyes of God.
Thank you
