Establish Legitimacy?????? who talks like that now???
You must be from another part of the world because no one talks like that here in the States. And I was an OB nurse.

It sounds like appeareces are very much controled by things outside of your self. I am not saying that I am for babies being born outside of marriage-- I am just saying that this legitimacy thing seems to outweighs what is really happening in life.

Some of you are answering this wrong. This question is NOT about who the child belongs to or does't belong to. It is about....if the child was concieved before or after a marriage. In some ciltures & socities & religions it is a sin to concieve a child out side of marriage. Thus the word legitimate, which means the chld was concieved when married which is precieved by as being good. An iligimite child woud be called a Baastard. And looked down upon in some places.
