I live in Cape Town South Africa, and milk are mostly packed in litres. It cost R4.50. And 3.8 litres in a gallon... (3.8 x R4.50 = R17.10) When converted to US dollar, it works out at about $2.25 USD.

In Tokyo it's about $6 a gallon. I can sometime get cheap stuff for about $5.80 a gallon. Of course it's only sold in liter paks but about 3.8 liters are a gallon and the rest is easy to calculate. I think that I'll start getting the kids to chomp on more crunchy fishbone snacks now that I see how much milk actually costs! Gasoline is only $4.36 a gallon.

I am an admitted milkoholic with an uncontrollable urge for lactose.
To satisfy my unquenchable thirst for milk, I buy $1.95/gal Dairy Glen1% Low Fat that I get at my local Safeway Store here near Portland, Oregon.
So, I always... "got milk".
