Hard working people don't rule the world.

Only hard-thinking people do.

To quote from the great and powerful Gordon Gecko:

"The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth - 5 trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work. Two thirds come from inheritance - interest upon interest accumulated to widows and idiot sons. And what I do - stock and real estate speculation: it's bull$#!T. Meanwhile you have 99 percent of the American public with little or no net worth. I create nothing! I own.

We make the rules pal. The news, far, famine, upheaval, the price of a paper clip. We pull that rabbit out of a hat while everyone else is wondering how the hell with did it.

Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a Democracy, are you, buddy?

It's a free market. And you're part of it."

I think they only trust people who have experience.
First timers are perceived as 'fresh', 'immature', 'inexperienced' etc. Impressions are a terrible thing, but it is part and parcel of real life.

Some people also don't believe that first-timers deserve to gain success and excel so fast in any field, since there are many others who have tried many times and have not succeeded yet either. They also fear of them turning complacent.

This doesn't apply for every case of course..there are exceptions to everything. Hard work pays off, as long as you have faith in yourself and most importantly patience and perseverance.
