Actually according to Exodus, god sent the archangel of death and actually did kill all the first born males in Egypt.

What is really twisted about this whole ordeal is that though we all have “free will” to obey or disobey god if we want to, it turns out that the god of the Bible will only allow you to have “free will” when he wants you to use it.
Exd 7:13 And he hardened Pharaoh's heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
In this verse we see God hardening the heart of the Pharaoh so that while Moses is asking him to let the Hebrew’s leave Egypt the Pharaoh doesn’t even consider it.
Exd 7:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh's heart [is] hardened, he refuseth to let the people go.
Then in the next verse the “great god” of the Bible oh so innocently tells Moses “Hey, the Pharaoh refuses to let the people go because his heart is hardened, never mind the fact that I am the one that hardened his heart so that he would respond in this manner.”
This happens all the way through the story of the 10 plagues. God takes away the Pharaoh’s free will and then after the Pharaoh says no to him because he has no other choice leading to “the god of love” sending a plague to curse the Egyptians.
I can’t help, but wonder what would have happened if the Pharaoh was allowed to give his own response instead of being dictated by the “hardened heart” which god force upon him.

This was when Moses was trying to free his people from Slavery to the Egyptians. He tried the nice way first and had to voice his Gods words stronger . this lead to the Passover. Only those that put goats blood around the lintel of their house to mark them as Jews were spared the wrath of the hand of GOD.

My son wouldn't worship the devil.
You must understand that these people worshiped satan, osiris and apis were satan himself. Among many other gods like baal.
Do you really think whether or not God slayed those people, that they wouldn't have grown up following their own ways?
If you read the Bible, it says that God will destroy all the wicked in the last day, that is alot worse then just dying like the first born in Egypt.
God bless!!!

actually that would have applied to pharaoh himself too....
your more bothered by pharaoh's firstborn son dying, than the hundreds (or however many more) of "commoners"'s firstborn sons that had died...
was his choice to be in that sitution......
I'm not christian, but I see no issue with this.
edit:
>>"Actually according to Exodus, god sent the archangel of death and actually did kill all the first born males Egypt. "<<
... actaully it specifies that it was NOT an archangel... that god do it himself, personally..

Read whole story. God says leave my firstborn "Israel" or else I'll kill your firstborn. Of course here Pharaoh was the tormentor of Hebrews, God stood on behalf of the oppressed.

That is after Egyptians killed many first born of Jews. . . and it is a way to save many others.
About the same reasons why US should send force to other nations. To save the world, or so the Bush said.
The different is, God was merciful to the Egyptians, and the US soldiers are not. They kill, rape, the innocent, and destory many others.
In Isa, the Lord mentioned that Egyptians will be saved in the end.
Yes, I worship this one ture God, who taught us in many other part of the bible to love, even our enemy. I know he is lovely.
What will you do, it is your been threaten by the terriorist? Will you not fight back?
