You can try to have someone else save it to a CD, but if I remember correctly, there is still a validation process once you download it anyway. Just going to have to pay for XP. I found that out myself, and since getting genuine, I get all the perks I couldn't get when mine was a pirated version.

Windows Media Player 11 validates Windows XP, wheather it is a Genunie Microsoft Product (Original or Pirated) if it is not original it doesn't install.
I think your WIndows XP is pirated copy.

It's not going to work unless you can locate a crack to bypass the validation... and since it is new I doubt you will have any luck with finding that for a while. If I remember right, that is still in Beta testing so don't hold your breath for anything until final.

the problem is windows player 11 has a validation checker which means that it will check that you are using a genuine version of windows ..if not it wont load ...which is what has happened to you ...my best suggestion is to uninstal and go back to using 9 or 10

Go to Start, Settings, Download, and dump this software, then try and reload. If this doesn' t work the first time, try.......shutting down, rebooting in safe mode and try the download again.
