my original hair color is dark brown but i dyed it light brown 2 months ago, so now my roots have grown out. im thinking about getting highlights but im not too sure how to go about this? before i get high lights should i have to dye my hair back to my original color??

why don't u dye ur hair light brown again so that the roots match ur present hair color and then get blonde or whatever highlights u want. in that way u don't have 2 wait for ur original color to grow out.

You can buy one of those kits (with the brush included) to match the color you dyed your hair previously and touch up the roots with the brush. Then when you get the highlights, it will look better. I usually wait about 2 weeks after touching up the roots before I do the highlights.

Wait for six months, trim the dyed hair, then do the highlights.

let it grow out, if you dye it back the color wont stay and you are going to end up looking like a bad zebra
