I know that I personally would have no problem with still following the religion. Though I would feel very sorry for the catholics given the fact that they do not allow women to perform important functions of the church.

In the big picture, I see God as genderless. In fact, I would suspect that in the afterlife gender would essentially be meaningless due to the fact that we all would have greater understanding of the universe and gender would be a extremely minor detail.

In Christianity? According to that religion, the nature of God far transcends the whole idea of having a gender. It's a really common mistake for people to humanize God to a fault. You just have to remember that God is a lot bigger than what you're thinking--even thinking of him as a "person" is wrong, though we personify him all the time in our language.

I think using personal pronouns to refer to God (rather than saying it), confers a greater level of respect, which is probably why it is done in the first place.

God is male, female, and none of the above. If God was a woman would I still follow the Christian religion??? No, because I don't follow the Christian religion now because I know that it is based on a distortion of the historical truth and if that upsets the people reading this I suggest they do a little research of their own. I would prefer knowing it was real, but I know it is not.

God is genderless. When the Bible was translated into English,
(I don't know of other languages) it was a time when the words he, him, his, etc. was the proper way to write a sentence. It was before women's lib organizations threw a fit and all written word had to be gender politically correct.
Yes, I would follow my religion. I believe that God is all of us.
That is because everything is God, even the nothing is God.

Yes, I would, but God is a man, and created man in His own image.

For all these little girls who are man-bashing, they should look at Eve, who committed the first sin, which started us on the way to this world we live in now. Women should be submissive, be seen but not heard, and spend their time in the kitchen raising children. The world would be a much better place. There how do you women like a little bashing?? HAHAHAHA!!!

Why do you care which gender God might be? Let's make man in OUR own image. He must have been reasoning with some other being as he is, which we don't know.

Shaktaa Path of hinduism worships God as a woman (as Mother).

They believe all universe is manifestation of eternal energy who is feminine, self-conscious and omnipresent and omnipotent

it dosen't matter to me. If God was the exact same way as 'he' is now, but a woman instead...I wouldn't care, as long as I still had the same wonderful God to love and obey. I don't really think about God having a gender.
