First, research the company and find out all you can. Are they a solid company. How long have they been in business? What kind of business is it? What do they produce? You would like to work for a company that you have heard good things about and have a long history. Or you would like to be involved in an up and coming company. Which ever the case may be.

Second, you must have the training/skills in order to be chosen for an interview. You are anxious to contribute the training/skills in their company and feel you can be of help/assistance to the company and in turn the company has much to offer you.

Third , prepare! Write up some questions and have a friend ask you the questions. Also "Dress for Success". Be assertive, very well groomed, practice in front of a mirror, stand tall and be sincere. Remember, learn all you can about the company. Look for it on the Internet.

Companies hire workers to solve a problem. Solving that problem lowers costs or increases revenues (both of which add to profits).

You should KNOW ahead of time what problem that company has and how you have a unique solution to that problem.

That solution is the answer to the interviewer's question.

Be careful not to reveal all of the solution before the company hires you or why should the company hire you - you gave them the answer.

Good Luck

The answer will be different for each person and the position. This is a good oportunity to show you did your homework about the company. Tell them something about the company that not everyone knows, and how you fit into their special needs.
