Well Abraham or Moses or one of those dudes was commanded by Got to kill his son. He was really gunna do it too when God told him to stop at the last minute. It shows you how crazy the Bible is. That lady who drowned her children said she did it because God told her to. Who can say that God DIDN'T tell her to? God does a LOT of killing in the Bible. Christians are ****** up.

Your prejudice is inspiring.
God would not ask me to kill my son so that he would forgive my sins. There are numerous reasons for this.
1) With Christ, there is a new covenant between God and people. At the time of the old covenant, God asked such a thing of Abraham, but he will not ask it today.
2) God will never ask me to break one of his commandments.
3) My "sacrifice" of my son cannot save me from sin. This is because only one who does not owe the debt can pay it for another. Since I owe the debt, being human and thereby a sinner, and since my son owes the debt, being human and thereby a sinner, neither of us in any way can cleanse anyone else of sin. Only Jesus, who never sinned, could--and can--pay the price.
You did not mess with my mind. My mind is clear and focused, and someone of your poor rhetorical ability cannot begin to tamper with it.
You know nothing beforehand. You think you know things beforehand. Your mind deceives you.
I do not insult. That is the job you have signed up for.
There is more to life than snappy comebacks. Things like honor, truth, and integrity. May you find interest in such qualities someday.

I can clearing remember the story of Abraham's testing. However, look at how Abraham answer his son Issac when Abraham was asked about the lamb.
Abraham told him, the Lord will provide. It was clear that Abraham have full faith in the Lord, and believe that the Lord will have a way out for him, and that the son at that age (I think Abraham was about 90 over), was precious. But it is a gift from the Lord, and the Lord can give again.
We see in the Bible, the Angel stopped Abraham, and God did provide a lamp (ram) for the sacrifice.
My God, the Lord of all host is a Holy God. Human Sacrificed is never allow. He gave this law on the prohibition of human sacrifice after Abraham's time, in Moses. I do not think that the Lord will asked for my children.
But, if my Lord will to take my children away in the very young age in sickness, I have full confidcence in Him, that He will take care of my child in Heaven.
I see clearly that I am but a caretaker of the Children from the Lord. Once they are full grown, they are on their own. My duty ends. It is my duty to bring them up the best way I know how, to love and fear God.
My last child had died, even before turning one. I cried, for I missed my child (my tears is flowing now). BUt I told my Lord, it is He who gave me the great Joy, it is still His right. For whatever reasons, I do not know. But I still trust in his Soverignty.
If you have read all my post, you will know, I believe because the Lord has been real to me. And I have experienced him (as well as evil spirit). I was once a ganster and school dropped out. But I soon changed 180, to become a law enforcer, and Officer in the Military.
I know God not from the preacher, nor from my parents, but the Lord found me.
He changed my lifes, from those that head to hell, with sex, lies, rob, beat to one that protect, love, teach, and serve.
My pal, the Lord is real.

No, I would not sacrifice my son. I would sacrifice myself for my son----THAT is love.
I have never met a so-called Christian with a reasonable answer to any question about the bible when you use the same bible to quote the evil deeds done by God or in the name of God.
They pick out the parts they like and base their beliefs on those.
According to the bible, God killed many. He approved abortion,
he had children murdered for disobedience, among other insane things. MY GOD is not evil. Only loving and forgiving to ALL.

My bible tells me is is a sin to kill
My bible tells me that you can not sacrifice your child
My bible tells me the story of aberaham almost sacrificing his child
Then God gave a ram as a sacrifice instead of his son, That meant his son came back to life, with a sacrificial ram.
sounds like your question led me to be able to preach the meaning of jesus and why he did gave his life for us.
p.s. your last question about why would Jesus do it without using a bible verse I answered with a father / child relation. Now you are asking about sacrificing a child. I must be rubbing off on you.
want to become christian?
would you
would you
would you????
I do enjoy your questions if you are truely asking for gaining of knowledge.
not a single cut and paste

God wouldn't simply ask someone out of the blue. the person he asked had a close relationship and had every confidence to trust God. Which is probably why he stated in one of the following verses that when he and the boy returned....Hm mm wonder what he was expecting.

You just don't get it or don't want to. Jesus said I and my Father are one....He also said that no one takes His life He gave it.
Who are you so mad at? Christians or God Himself? Why do you reject so great of a LOVE for you. Christians are just people, they are not perfect, they don't know everything. Why do you let what Christians say or do give you a reason to hate God. When you stand before Him someday, He is not going to ask you what did you do with this christian or that christian......He is going to ask you...What did you do with My Son? Did you accept Him or reject Him? That is all that will matter to God.
You should stop questioning Christians and question your own heart.......Who is Jesus to you? That is your only eternal question.

God is life, love, light and truth...At least to my belief and experience! A demon would be more likely to tell me to do such a thing! And in either way, I would never kill anyone unless it is legitimate self-defense...and I pray such a situation will never happen to me. I don't belive in violence of any kind. Even the martial arts I know,(Aikido, Tai Chi) teaches us to neutralize the opponent ; not kill.

Dear Mr. Light and Pea
Nowhere in the Bible does the christian God ever ask anyone to do that. Killing your Son does nothing to forgive your sin according to Gods revelation, the bible. God asked Abraham to kill his only begotten son Isaac, not so abraham could have forgiveness of his sins. There were 2 main reasons for this:1)God had already promised Abraham that the Messiah(Jesus) would someday come through the geneological line of Isaac(Genesis 21:12). This, incidently was 1500 years before Jesus was born. So Isaac had to live. Would Abraham trust God even to the killing of his own Son. Abraham was ready to do it. He believed that God was a loving and compassionate God who never went back on his word so since God had made that promise, Abraham believed that even if he killed Isaac, God would raise him from the dead. Hebrews 11:17-19 says:
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son,
18 even though God had said to him, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned."
19 Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death.
2)This was a picture of what was going to happen about 1500 years later when God sacrificed His only Son for the sins of the world. Remember, Abraham began to sacrifice Isaac(before God stopped him) on Mount Moriah(genesis 22:2). About 1500 years later on calvary or golgotha God sacrificed His only begotten Son. Golgotha or Calvary is Mount Moriah. It is the very same spot.
Abraham and Isaac make the journey to Moriah and they go up to the top and then this conversation takes place in Genesis 22:6-8:
6 Then Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son, and he took the fire (the firepot) in his own hand, and a knife; and the two of them went on together.
7 And Isaac said to Abraham, My father! And he said, Here I am, my son. said, See, here are the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt sacrifice?
8 Abraham said, My son, GOD HIMSELF will provide a lamb for the burnt offering. So the two went on together.
Since the christian God is a trinity, His Son was part of Himself. At the cross of Calvary, God was literally providing Himself as a lamb for the sacrifice when He put his Son on that cross. Who was responsible for killing Christ on the cross? Was it the Jews? Was it the Romans? No, it was your sins and my sins. It was for that purpose(to die for the sins of the world) that Christ came to this planet( as 333 prophecies in the old testament said he would). Abraham goes on to kill his son Isaac but at the last second God spares Isaac and provides a lamb and Abraham sacrificed the lamb. Even that was a picture of what was to come. A lamb being sacrificed was a picture of the ultimate sacrifice 1500 years later. What did John the Baptist say when he first saw Jesus...."behold, the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world(John 1:29).
God is never going to ask you or me to sacrifice our sons for the forgiveness of our sins. He's already sacrificed His Son for the forgiveness of our sins. Now, Mr. Light and Pea, the question is what are you going to do with that. You have free choice. That makes you responsible.

If God, or any other unseen entity asked me to do anything....first I'd crap my drawers, then I'd look for a microphone, and if I couldn't find the hoaxter, I'd go on a long vacation by the sea, drink beer and fish all day for as long as it took to stop hearing voices.
