I used to have 2 cats, the younger liked to suck his brother's chest as if he's sucking his mother's for breastfeeding..and the other seemed to enjoy this "breastfeeding" session!! Can any one explain?

The cats were taken away from their mother too soon. My young kitten, likes to suck on my colar as though I were his mother or something. It's something that the cat will get over, in my case hopefully. I take it as his bonding with me as his mother. I'm a guy so that feels weird, but I love that little guy and I try not to mind.

They do this because they were to young when they were weaned. And if he is doing it when he is still nursing, then it could be, there are no nipples left to suck on or he doesn't realize that he is sucking on his brother and not his mother. My moms cats used to do this when they were little. They eventually stop though, don't worry about it.

the younger one just wasnt ready to seperate from his mother so he continued the habit, and the elder one was just accepting it as bonding, my kitten sucks the toes of two stuffed cats instead, and i had one that sucked on the side of my neck and gave me hickies.

yes I can , when I got my kitten he was too young he needed a "mom" How I got my kitten is that the people who had the kitten's were killing them ,I didn't want them to die , so I took one and told some other people what they were doing and they got one too. You're cats were just to young and they just need a "mom"
