how does the sim card used in mobile phones work? (storing numbers etc)?

I mean what is the principle behind creating the storage capacity for numbers, and other things like messages etc?

its just a memory device for storing all of the phone info. If you remove the sim and install it in a new phone, the phone will work as if it were the old phone (assuming you stored all of you info to the sim and not just in the phone's memory).

need to have a cell phone....,insert sim....,go to phonebook...,click add name...,type the name...,click OK...,then type number....,then click OK again...
