Anything above 60 proof will not freeze. This is due to the percentage of alcohol. Only place liquors that will be served by the shot in the freezer. Liquors for mixed drinks should be stored at roomm temp. This is so the will melt a sufficient amount of ice in the shaker, and weaken the bite of the alcohol resulting in a much more pleasant taste.

Actually, tequila can be frozen. It's just got an extremely low freezing point. It doesn't matter how long you keep it in the freezer, alcohol doesn't freeze at the same temperature as water.

Alcohol freezes at a lower temperature than water. the alcohol content of tequilla is high enough that the normal freezing temperatur in a freezer will not freeze it. Try lowering the temperature to it's lowest temperature and see what happens (of course everything else will become hard as a rock but....)

It does freeze, but your freezer is apparently not cold enough to freeze it and I doubt that you will find one easily that is cold enough. Alcohol is hard to freeze, but it is possible, and Tequila has a lot of alcohol in it, therefore, is hard to freeze as well. You can legally buy liquid nitrogen, ebay has it, and I guarantee that will freeze it.
