I am 34 and single. I turn down alot of dates because I'm just not interested in these guys.
How many times is it safe to say "No, but thanks for asking" before I have to wonder if it's really the type of men who are asking or my own hang-ups?

It all depends on you.. But there is such a thing as being too picky. Sounds like you're looking for the perfect guy.

THOSE DON'T EXIST!!

How about living on the edge and have a date with one of them. You may find out that you really are interested in them. Plus it is fun to screw around with the minds of men.
Also it is safe to say no as much as you want until you feel guilty about it and want to fix it.

I guess that depends on the guys that are asking you out.
Are they all the same type of guy, or are these guys all over the spectrum?
What are your reasons for turning down these guys? If it is always for superficial reasons, well I might say yes, it is your own hangups, or if there is a serious meaning behind it, maybe not.

It is you.

You don't like them and they like you.

You could ask the guy.

Then it would be them.
