Well, you ask us a question, then you should be not be biased if an answer will sound reasonable to you. The reason we Muslims do not believe in the Crucifiction is simply because, and defies the logical reasoning.. The Quran states that Jesus was not crusified, it was only made to appear so. But if you ask your self a question, that if I have a servent, and he does something wrong, and I tell him that hey, my son will give his life in sacrifice, and then, all your mistakes will be paid for. You say that I am insane. But then, you attribute the same thing to GOD, who is obviously more fair and just than any odinary human being. God is Almighty. why on earth does He need to sacrifice anything for that matter. The true way would be, that what ever sin we commit, we will be accountable for it, if we repent, God may or maynot forgive us. That is why heaven and hell were made. So i belive Jesus did not get crucified.

Secondly, you said why we muslims quote the bible when we dont belive it to be the word of God. Well, actully you are wrong there, God says in the Quran that there has not passed a time or age when He did not send a messanger and a Book. By name only 5 books are mentioned in the Quran, which includes the Bible. But over time people of your faith made changes to fullfill their own material desires, and change the status of Jesus from a messanger to god. Now we at times quote the bible because, obvisouly, it may contain certain portions, which were not altered, hence may be the word of God. These are the only portions you will find that Muslims quote if anywhere. Hope that answers your questions. We Musmlims and Christians, should try to have dialogue in order to come closer in brotherhood rather than abusing each others faith and messangers. Only than can true peace be upheld on Earth. May God bless you and give you eyes to see the true path.

Muslim disagreement with the "Bible" goes back to the Old Testament where, according to Muslim scholars, the story of Abraham was rewritten to make Isaac heir to God's covenant when in fact Ishmael was the real heir. In other words the Old Testament is full of serious false information.

The crucifixion of Jesus is not the big problem. The problem is that for a Muslim, Jesus is not the whole God or even one-third God (trinity or polytheism). So a devout Muslim might dispatch Christians for polytheism while the Roman Catholic church has burnt some at the stake for teaching that Jesus Christ was Jehovah born in a manger.

Scripture is spiritually discerned with faith and the revelation of God. No amount of history, education, training and preaching will work.

In other words only God can explain it to anyone and you might as well give it a rest unless you were called to preach to the Muslims.

Muslim do believe in Jesus and the Bible like we believe in other prophets and books revealed upon to them. Why else would the quran call them people of the book, if we didnt believe in these books.

The only difference is that we believe that Jesus was a prophet and not son of God and therefore dismiss these elements from the bible.

We believe that the crucifixion did take place but it was not Jesus but a liking of him as God ascended him into the heavens. Thus we believe he will return again.

Islam firmly believes in monotheism and that there is no God but Allah and he doesnt need any sons or daughters or any other form to help him as he is magnificent and all knowing.

All muslims respect Jesus and its sad when we see his name being taken in vain and depiction of him in humor (as we see in the movies sometimes). His teachings are taught to us too and most of them reflect what is written in the bible hence we use its text at times for referral. We believe in his miraculous birth and his healing powers and his ability to raise the dead.

Unfortunately, we don't get the same respect back for our faith and our prophet is made fun of and at times people call Allah a fake god which is simply stupid coz Allah is what we call the same God everyone else worships!

I hope people become more tolerant towards each other and understand the roots that bind the jews, christians and muslims together!

Peace out!

HEY!

I am a Muslim and I accept that Jesus was crucified
and I also accept, from the Bible, that Jesus was not the name of Christ
but that Two Thieves Crucified were named Jesus
by Pilate for the Hoax of the crucifixion
and the Gospels were written to add Jesus to Christ
so that Zeus can claim fatherhood of his little pagan son
and Romans have fooled the World of Christians
with their little Bible trick.

The Bible admits to being a Hoax and reveals the beauty of the Hoax and the adoption of Christ by Zeus the Weather God. Check The AGe Of Reason from www.xlibris.com and go through the Hoax of the Bible and the purification of Christ from evil crucifixion and trinitheism.

AMEN!

The Muslims don't believe that Jesus was the Son of God but rather consider him to be a prophet only. Jesus himself said "unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sin" John Ch.3 V36 states "He that believeth on the Son hath life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life but the wrath of God abideth on him" John Ch.3 V18 should have sent a sobering wake up call to all people everywhere as Jesus himself said "He that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already" The whole Muslim religion is built on a lie as someone claimed to have had a vision centuries ago and it took off from there. When John finished writing the book of Revelations that was the end of all visions and Gods last word to mankind was Jesus Christ. We are warned in the Bible not to believe everything which appears to be a miricle as Satan has the power to perform that which appears to be a miricle as well. He has the power to create visions, make statues bleed etc., and during the tribulation he will cause a statue to speak so that the people will again be deceived and believe a lie. The reason we have soo many false religions and cults today is because Satan is alive and well on the planet earth. The Bible warns everyone that unless they come Gods way and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, they will be lost forever. Jesus made certain prophesies in Matthew Ch.24 and one reason was so that when we saw these things happen we would remember that he said it 2000 years ago and would further reinforce his claim to being the Son of God. Its hard to believe that soo many can be soo blind to the truth when they are surrounded by a great witness of Gods' creation and handywork which testifies of his existance.

because it is inconceivable that a God could be treated in such a fashion.to be stabbed, hung, spat at, insulted!i mean cmon what do you want us to accept? that God was incapable of saving Himself from His creation?and that when they hung God on that cross He cried and prayed to another God 'Eli Eli lama sabactani' Lord Lord why has though forsaken me?just who was He praying to?and dont tell me Himself like i've heard from other Christians cause my intellect wont buy it.you follow nothing but conjecture, having no proof thereof, for they did not kill him,but he was taken up unto His Lord.and this was easy for Allah.and not one of you but will believe in Him before the day of regret. He will be back.but He will not recognise what He left and what you now call His way.many will say Lord,Lord....

How can one call them-self a christian and not believe this very basic truth needs to examine their relationship with Jesus. I cannot blame the Muslims because they have a lot of information (false) but they have grown up with it, so I cannot blame them. We can only pray for them and love them as a brother and pray the Holy Spirit will give them truth.

Perhaps because it is ignoble to accept a man dying for you. If I do something wrong then let me die for it myself. I will not allow an innocent man to die for me, this is not fair to him or myself. Honestly, I don't know why Muslims don't accept, but that is my reason: I couldn't sleep at night thinking that my wrongdoings killed an innocent man.
