Should I cover the hickey up with a turtle neck type shirt or with some make-up? Would the person conducting the interview judge me based on a single hickey and choose not to hire me? The hickey is starting to fade away bit it's still obvious, what should I do?

Yes, you probably would be judged badly because of a hickey, the same as you would if you walked in with noticeable tattoos.... They're kind of the same. Though your passion mark may fade it can be easily renewed and the interviewer will wonder if that's the image that they want a representative of their company to project. Cover it!

a friend of mine used to do somethin..im not sure if it worked for him. He would rub an ice-cube on it and then run a fine-toothed comb up and down the hickey. Im not sure if this worked..he said it did. He may have been soo desperate for it to disappear that when it faded on its own he believed this had done the trick. U can try that...it couldnt hurt....im not promising itll work..but he had to have gotten that info from somewhere lol. But also go for the MAC chick's advice..yellow does cancel out black. Or wear a scarf..that may not be too noticeable..depending on where u live lol. Or something with a high collar maybe? or some chunky earrings that dangle over the hickey! good luck!

Depends on the weather and the job, if your gonna wear a suit and blouse then how about a nice scarf tied at the throat (have used this myself to cover up hickeys) if its a more casual job and its cold out then a turtle neck is fine.

Ok.. hickeys are confusing a lot of times.. If you really must wear something that reveals the spot it is in then makeup would be your best bet. First of all you will need a concealer. You can't just cover it up with foundation because it is not thick enough. Try a yellow based concealer to put on top. The yellow will counter act the dark color. Next get a foundation that matches your skin color and dab it on there and pat on top of the concealor. Becareful not to rub too hard, as the concealer will rub off. Then set it with a powder to keep the foundation on all day. Good Luck!

go with the turtle neck.. but if it is too hot where you're at, you might want to put concealer on that hickey instead. you would look a bit weird and conspicuous wearing a turtle neck and sweating at the same time.

ok. first off a person usually knows a head of time about and interview. so why would you let someone give you a hickey when you knew you had this interview. Hickies are very trashey, and even more trashy is someone trying cover them up and it not working.... i have interviewed many people of all ages. nothing worse then interviewing someone who is trying to hide a hickey. either by putting their hand near their neck or with a lot of make up that looks tackey... your best bet would be to call and reschedule. tell them you came down with the flue and you are really sorry, but you are interested in the job and want to reschedule. if they no, then it is not the type of company you want to work for. A hickey does say trash, slut, whore and such. In my time of hiring, if someone walked in my office with a hickey, it gave me a low impression of them.

Wear a neck brace. That will cover up the hickey and make you look really brave for turning up for an interview while injured!

Hickeys show a level of immaturity and lack of self-control. I recommended covering it, no matter what it takes. Try a collared shirt, an in-style accessory scarf or turtleneck.

You can be really cheeky and wear a "fake engagment/wedding ring" or just cover it up. Go for a turtle neck with a necklace on top of it. If its to hot, use makeup. best of luck!

Definitely cover it up with clothing. Make up usually doesn't do the trick. If I was hiring I'd take one look, form a bad opinion of you, ( whether justified or not), and cross you off straight away!
