I saw this passage in the Bible that put a controvercy in my mind towards gay priests, lesbians and homosexuals. the passage is in Romans 1
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Looks fairly self-explanatory to me. Not a lot of wiggle room for those who want to find loopholes.

Let the controversy in your mind be settled. Homosexuality, like every other sin, is wrong. It's even more wrong for a priest, minister, or pastor to advocate any philosophy contrary to what has been clearly laid out by God.

here's another scripture for you:
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

and another

1 John 4:20
If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

So keep studying Good for All, so you know the truth. And hate the sin, love the sinner.

According to this passage, the lust (desire) is shameful. That would mean that to want unnatural sex is a shame, but it doesn't call it a sin. In the next verse, a man-on man act is called indecent and perversion and that doesn't sound like approval, so I think we can safely assume that it isn't considered right by the Apostle. Interesting to note that he is addressing the Romans with this.
It sounds to me as though homosexual desires were considered shameful, but the act was much worse. So do what you need to do with that info.

WRONG ... Especially if this particular person believes in God's words and commandments...

It would be like picking the bible apart for only certain parts they want to support and other parts they refuse to acknowledge...

On the other hand if they don't believe in God or his words, Then the Christians should pray for them and let God cast the final Judgment...

The book was written by mortal men. If you believe in this God that's on you. I do not believe in this God. If there is a God then why does it allow so much hatred, war, and destruction on the only planet we have? According to this God if you don't accept him then what happens to the babies that die? This is only one religion from thousands in the world.

This planet is billions of years old. The Christaian religion is only 2,000 years old. This planet is just a speck in the universe.

Bringing up every hateful verse you can find in the Bible does not justify yourself. I believe Christ said "Those who are without sin cast the first stone"

A "Christian" is a follower of Christ. A person who lives by the word of Christ. Once again I say "CHRIST" never mentioned homosexuals. The guy hung out with the prostitutes, sailors and drank alot of wine. He did not associate himself with the people who considered themselves righteous.

I am not gay but during my days dealing with Christian churches of all denominations, I found many gay people in them who were very sincere in their faith. Some had same sex partners, some didn't. Some gays were celibate in these groups. I find that sexual orientation and faith belief are two separate parts of a person's life. Religion strongly effected the emotions & the sex orientation is connected to the hypothalmus section of the brain. The two issues are exclusive of each other.

Defiantly wrong. What type of Christians are they? If they really have already received the Holy Ghost then they would have no desire for it. The Lord would cast out all those evil spirits. And the person wouldn't have Satan touting their minds with those perverse thoughts.

Queers and lesbians are an abomination to Gods` Word !! God does not hate them , He hates the sin !! God made the perfect world for a man and a woman !! Any other relationship , men with men , or women with women is against Gods` law of things natural in nature !! So not only is it wrong , it is a sin against God !!

Never without a first stone to cast! Don't you feel righteous? God unites and Satan divides.

Homosexuality is wrong period. And this scripture shows why, how, when, who, what is wrong with it.
If you have homosexual tendencies, you need to seek Christian groups that are focused on homosexuality like spatula.
Remember that God loves the sinner, but hates the sin, and that all men have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.
If you do not have homosexual tendencies, work on other sins that you are struggling with. There are plenty out there.
