Studies show that parents of boys tend to answer questions for their boys rather than let them answer for themselves (as if they can't/the parents don't have confidence in ther own male children).
I teach English to kindergarten aged children and up in Japan and find the same - girls tend to learn quicker. This being said, the boys who do well quickly outpace the girls. This may be do to a boys out-goingness.

Psycologically speaking the boy have a tempermant to know the mechanism of what ever he observe. and girl tempermant goes with precautious maintenance of the same. for eg. bring a identical dolls or car or whatever. the boy first tries to break it and observe the things inside but girl keeps it in a cupboard safely even without playing rashly.
in means girls observe and maintain the things where as boys naturally observe and diverge there mind with others and take extra time to recall the matter.

The girls brains develop faster than the boys. The girls can be potty trained earlier as well. The boys will do just fine later, but for some reason or other it just seems to take a little longer for the boys development to "catch up" to the girls.

Because thats what they are "wired" to do! That is, untill weapons were invented, then wife-beating and the next day there was patriarchy. A woman is suposed to develop social skills to raise and educate the future generations, while men were suposed to protect the home and bring food, mostly.

Latest scientfic research reveals that males and females' brains are "wired" differently.
Girls have more developed 'right' side brain than the 'left side', while boys have better left side development.
Hence boys /males are better at driving & parking a car, reading a map, etc,
while girls / females are better at verbal skills, multi-tasking, and better body language skills.

This happened in our house. When I asked dr. she said girls brain and intelligence is far superior than of a boy. That is the reason that a girl should marry a boy older to her. Her intellectual intelligence will be superior than that of a boy. Although men do not trust it. Male egoism. My husband always says women are gossip mongers, quarellsome and tale takers, for which they talk faster. as they listen to talking more.
