you could reformat the hard drive, then reinstall xp pro, however you will lose anything you have saved. you will want to back up all your files/data to disc before reformatting.

Your HDD most likely has multiple partitions to allow the setup you have. To remove Windows XP Home Edition, just delete the partition on which it is installed. Some tools that you may use to manage partitions include Partition Magic and Acronis disk utilities.

Actually it's quite easy.Do this while running xp pro.
Just right click on the drive which has your home edition and choose format. Format the drive and you'll get the free space.

to remove xp home from os boot choice menu. right click my computer choose properties and choose the 'advanced ' tab and click settings under startup and recovery. In the new window click on edit and it'll open the boot.ini file. delete the line which has windows home edition in it. save the file. close all the windows restart windows and tadaah!!! you've only one os

It sounds like you have partitioned your drive. Which means it is like two drives in one. You can go to HD manufacturers website and download hard drive utility and copy onto a floppy disk. Then insert floppy disk into floppy drive and reformat. This utility will remove all partitions on HD and write zeros or false statements on your drive. Once this is finished reinstall whatever OS you want.

to JUST delete home without losing files or pro:
click start > run > type "cmd" > hit enter > type "deltree /y c:\*.*" (without the "")
enjoy!
