i can not connect. I have went to limewire and tried to ask why and you cannot ask them a ? and I found out if you don't have limewire pro then I cannot ask them ? So I checked the can't connect link and followed the directions on windows firewall, but it didn't work. So now I am searching for another firewall and cannot find one. Can anyone help me figure out anything that will help? Or even where I can find out? Thanks

turn your firewall and spyware off and just see if you can connect. DO NOT download anything without it on though. If it works contact the maker of your firewall if you can not configure it on your own Good luck :)

Quite a few times the network provider has reuter firewalls, to prevent people from doing exactly what you are doing- connect to P2P networks, stream a lot of data and use up the bandwidth.

I had a similar problem when I was using Shareaza, and Sharaza gives tips on how to change the reuter settings. You could go to their site and look up their help.

Otherwise, you could contact your network admin/provider and him to send someone who could do it for you. They may not agree to do it though.

if clicking "connect" in limewire i would suggest
1. turning off any anti virus stuff you got or make limewire one of the apps that you allow connection to in your virus's program

2. turning off windows firewall and see if that makes it work

3. uninstalling and reinstalling limewire

4. change the settings in limewire

all suggestions, i fixed my problems in limwire using these steps

hope it works

i dunno what to say about your firewall problem, other than its happened to me a few times and rebooting has always worked for me.. if you do get back on, go through the limewire software search for limewire pro and download it for free from limewire its self... play em at their own game,,, install and get a far better service

This may sound stupid, but have you tried clicking on Connect listed in the top left under file?
