hep c is contacted through blood only... if that Bill had blood of a hep c positive person on it, and you had an open sore in your nose then yes - you can contact hep c... But you can also contact hep c from a hep c positive person's toothbrush if you use it and you both have open sores....

That's a new one Hep C from snorting,,,,,you get the other Hep from needles. Go have a test to put your mind at rest anyway, and unroll that dolloar bill, dust it off and buy a soda.
WEBMD.com has all kinds of info on Hep.

hcv is blood to blood transfer only. however, the blood vessels in the nose are close to the surface. when one uses cocaine a nose bleeds can occur. if the other person has a an open wound anywhere near the nose or in the nose chances of transfer of infected blood do occur.

the other issue is sinus infections....a person doe's have breaks in the small capillaries when this occurs. if your sharing a straw hcv transfer can take place.

as far as dollar bills go? THIS IS HORRIBLE. dollar bills not only have thousands of germs on them, but blood too! HCV when reconstituted can infect a person!

you can even get diseases like hcv just by smoking a joint if there is blood on it and you have an open wound on the lips or in the mouth.

there are sooooo many ways you can get hcv, yet only one true way of it occuring: blood to blood transmission!

GET tested and PLEASE do not use drugs!

:O)

Depends on what type of hypititus it is a, b, c, d. Also if your white stuff may have been cut by someone who has it and it might have be tained with blood some how. Also if you use a tube that someone who has it and they had the pipe in thier mouth. Most get it from food that has been prepared by someone whith it or blood to blood contact. It is not airborne. you could use part of your nose and your teeth and your ability to smell. also can have numerous and opainful nose bleeds.

only if it cut the inside of their nose and blood got on the straw and you had a cut on the inside of your nose...BUT that might not be the case cause you can catch some time of hepatitis from sitting on a public toilet seat. Always squat never snort

I dont think so , HepC is a uncurable bloodborn virus. You dont even get it from having sex with someone or sharing a toothbrush with someone who has hepC. It would be from blood contamination....You need to ask to specifically be tested to look for HCV. It wont show up in a common cbc. My mom got it from a blood transfusion after giving birth to me in 1980 and they didnt find it until 1993. of course its more common now than it was even a few years ago....But its a nasty disease....Like a HIV/Cancer combo...good luck

Yes you can. It would show up by now. See a doctor with your concerns. It's unlikely anything else would be transmitted this way but possible, especially TB. Talk to a doc.

Unless it came in contact with your blood, you should be fine.
But the best way to not get it is not do something like that again.
I'm no hypocrite or anything because I've done my fair share.
