The anesthesia is very hard on the baby. My mother had an ovary removed when she was pregant with me and I was a very sick baby.

Greetings; I will not tell you not to, I am not a doctor. I will say though ... you were created with a gall bladder, a thyroid, eyes, a nose, a spleen and/or etc. and all are connected in one way or another to each other.
There are many ways to cleanse the spleen, liver, pancreas, nose, ear and/or etc. without cutting them out or off. You remove the spleen you will be on medications the rest of your life with medicines that supposedly duplicate the frequencies that your spleen originally gives off.
I know that sounds bizzare; however, every cell in your body creates a frequency or electrical current ... for instance; if you think your monitor is not as clear as you would like it to be - reach up and pull out some small odd looking thing out of your computer and see what it may do ... problem is, you can replace the part in your computer - where you going to get the part to replace if you let them cut?
I would think it would be wise to get to a great herb store or health store and ask an herbologist his/her advice before you resort to this ...
I have an aunt that has been getting whittled down a little bit here and there over the years - breasts gone, spleen gone, gall bladder gone, etc., etc., etc., and now she urinates into a neat little plastic bag she wears hanging on her side - but; she only has to take around 39 pills a day so she can enjoy what's left to her life.
Like I say - it is your choice and I won't try to talk you out of it ... just realize - once it is gone, it is permanent. You should research what you are thinking about throwing away ... most people don't miss something until it is gone anyways. Peace!

DONT DO IT!! I was scheduled for my gall bladder to be removed, and found out 1 month to the day of my surgery I was pregnant. The hospital will not remove your spleen while you are pregnant. Unfortunatly, they will give you the option of a DNC if your condition is threating your life.

You need to speak to your doctor and if you are pregnant then you cant undergo anesthesia for surgery, or you will cause serious harm/ brith defects to your unborn child. So unless you plan on having your spleen taken out w/ out drugs or any type of anesthetic....then you need to handle it ASAP w/ your doctor and let him know the circumstances of your now apparent situation.

Talk to your doctor. Depending on why you're having your spleen removed, he/she can advise you as to the risks of waiting vs. having surgery now. I have known of people who've had surgery while pregnant (for gall bladder, etc). It's not common, but it can be done depending on how urgent it is.
Only your doctor can really assess the risk & benefits for you.

Crazy Idea Time...
Why not ask your doctor...they can probably answer that question better than the insomniacs on yahoo answers...
