From my perspective an "older person " is about 90 years old. In my opinion maturity has nothing to do with chronological age. I've known many, well over the age of 30 who have the iq as well as personallity of 12 year olds, and I've known many teens who are more mature than some adults.

Well for me "older" person changes as I age. When I was 14 and older person was like 20, when I became 20 an older person was like 30ish, now that I've hit 30 older is 40 something.....I like this way...it keeps me YOUNG..lol.
Great question!

I think it should be based on how they act. Age is just a number. If your young at heart then more power to the older generation. I'm 37 and I'm very young at heart. I have been told that my son and I look like sister and brother. Now that is a compliment!!

I'm 17. I define age as the way a person acts. My grandmother is 68 and she can be the funnest person I know. She's living it up in Hawaii, surfing on the weekends and enjoying life. You get old when you stop enjoying the life you are living. I've known plenty of "old" forty year olds who get so caught up with the number of years they've lived that they forget how wonderful it is to just be alive. Besides..isn't it so much more pleasant to think of it as being so many years young?

To me,older would be 60 regardless of looks or action. But being older is not bad because there are some older people who are more in shape than people in their 20's and I aspire to be like those people one day.

I think "older" depends on how old you are.
When I was a teenager, 30 seemed ancient but obviously since even 35 has passed me by, it doesn't seem so terribly old at all.
And yes, I think it has to do with how they act and how they look.

Any age older then you is considered older. It depends on how much older you want to go.
