I am not led to say with certainty, though, there are several passages in the New Testament which could be interpreted as though there are varying rewards in Heaven, or in the new earth, or whatever.

Matthew 10:41-42 Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward. And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.

Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.

Ephesians 6:7-8 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

Revelation 22:12 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done."

While these passages in context may not convince anyone, it does seem worthy of our thoughtful consideration.

Colossians 3:17a Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus

How often do we do or say things that are not in the name of Jesus? How often would we rather just leave the name of Jesus out of it? Jesus cut a straight path to a narrow gate for us. Still, he helps us carry the burden. His yoke is easy because the Holy Spirit strengthens us and comforts us. The Christian life looks both hard and foolish to those outside looking in. But it is freedom and joy for those who trust and obey.

No. The bible says that we will be come co heirs with Christ. We will all be equal. Mormons believe that there are different levels of heaven and if you do enough good deeds on earth you can become a God yourself.

I guess I misunderstood the question. I thought you were asking if there are different levels of heaven. As for rewards, I don't really have a Biblical answer for you. We will be rewarded for being obedient and judged for times when we aren't.

Due to the false doctrine of justification by faith alone where justification is said to be imputed or declared, that would make everyone in heaven the same. A communist heaven. But look what Jesus says in Matthew 19:

[26] But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
[27] Then Peter said in reply, "Lo, we have left everything and followed you. What then shall we have?"
[28] Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of man shall sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
[29] And every one who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, WILL RECEIVE A HUNDRED FOLD, and inherit eternal life.

How can some receive a hundred fold if everyone in heaven is the same?

Not different levels, but different rewards for the different services.

The Beattitudes list a few of them, & there's some discussion about the different crowns.

Gimme some time, & I could get you the references...

Catholicism does not teach in its curriculum now ... but there have been many a poet who have interpreted scripture to reveal heaven in different layers. Check out Dante Allegro in his "Divine Comedy" (Paradise) for more 411.

Good question. I don't think so but some do. Their reasoning is that a person that has developed a deeper closer more mature relationship with Christ will be able to experience a deeper appreciation of His heavenly gift. I don't buy it but who knows.

I wouldn't call them levels, but we all will be rewarded for what we have done.
