the intersting part is religion never mentioned. but if someone named Ahmad did it, religion will be blamed. in Islam women are treated with respect except with a few.

True religions do not condone violence in any form, but especially violence against women. They do condone treating women as objects and possessions, slaves and second class citizens, but not violence.

Really? I don't see any 'research' (if Yahoo answers can be considered that) that you did on men beating/raping women in the east to compare with the stuff that you already have.
It's a problem that crosses cultural boundaries, and is prevalent wherever a man denigrates a woman, either consciously or unconsciously, or elevates himself over her due to his gender.

Religion isn't blamed for men beating women. Religion is blamed when someone rams a plane filled with people into a building filled with people, all the while praising allah.
That's why people hate Islam. The murder of thousands of innocent people in the name of a f* up god.
Oh yeah, keeping women in burquas didn't help.

you got it . because the media in the west are controled by a group of power that are not with the muslim world. so they will try to show the most negative thing about Islam. don't show too much positive thing about muslims.
and yes it's unfair world. if someone name Ahmad and Amy, and both done crime, Ahmad will be called by his religion and Amy will be called by her name.

Women are being beat everyday. It is a terrible thing. I'm sure the Lord doesn't like it. I think it is growing everywhere. Women aren't acting like the way God wants them to. They try to be more like men, and that's just not our place. He made us feminine and them masculine. Men are supposed to be the ones "wearing the pants" , not the women. Trust me, I'm not sexist against my own sex, but I'm just telling the truth. If we would just stay in our place, men wouldn't feel threatned.

No, Its actually more common in the middle east, Its just that when it happens here, we make a big deal out of it to make the woman see that she is notat fault. In islamic countries, the religious leaders tell a man to beat his wife or daughters if they disobey him. Often, a woman is beaten in islamic countries because her in-laws want her to be beat, and this is considered normal.

Yes, i agree with you. muslims are always targeted for wrong reasons. All wrong stuff happens worldwide but in the end muslims are to be blamed. I think Islam is the best and peaceful religion. but it requires brainy people to understand that =)
