i bet the people above me are right,

but maybe that could be true if some radical transformation starts during the 8th month so the baby would be better off coming out before it than during it. think of it like a construction project... would you rather have to quit building a skyscraper halfway through the process, or not begin to build it in the first place? just a thought that has absolutely no validity to it(being that Im a 14 yo girl that has basically no knowledge on the subject) but you never know, I could be right

Thats what my dr told me. I had toximia and they took the baby at the begginning of the 7 month. It has something to do with what happens during each trimester. In the odd months part of the developement stops and another starts up.I dontunderstand it exactly but my baby and i both lived.

What?
The longer your baby stays in the womb the better developed and able to cope with the world it will be, to a point, if it stays in for too long your uterus will begin to calcify and no longer support the baby, this point comes some time after 42 weeks gestation.

No it is not. Every day that a child stays in their mother's womb increases their development and chances for survival. Each day past 6 months, the fetus increases it lung development, builds it immune system, and adds additional fat necessary for neurological development.

Only if a condition of the baby or the mother won't make going to term a good idea and it's safer for the baby to be out than in for some reason.

Otherwise heck no!!

So the folklore say... but actually no. Preemies need further incubation to be able to survive.

No, the longer you can carry your baby, the more likely it will survive after birth.
