why is it you guys get upset when a WOMAN says that woman and men are the same... and in some cases maybe better??
I just don't know why muslim men think that they are better than everyone else. I for one will not walk behind my hubby, i will not ask "how high" if he says jump, (most likely have a 3 legged race to hosp with my foot up his a$$). he can also fix his own dang dinner... unless i am feeling nice then i will make his dinner... I know they are rasied this way to think they are the better of the 2 but dang... if you are in America and sucking away at my taxes don't get all mad cause i say i am better than a man... what do yo folks think??

It is the middle eastern men that behave like this and their wives support the ridiculous behavior. I have also known the Evangelistic Christians to have the same mentality with their women.
As far as the middle eastern men are concerned it is mostly cultural not religious!

HAHAHA that's awesome! I think Muslim women do it because of religious reasons, they are taught to believe that a man owns his wife (and everything else in his possession) and that she is not to be trusted to show her face, so other men won't want her. They also have religious beliefs that women are here only to serve men.....I'm sure a man thought that one up.....

I think it's more cultural than religious. You're probably talking about Middle Easterners rather than Muslims generally.

Because that is their culture. They have been doing it for centuries. Why is it that Christians believe they need to be baptized to go to heaven? Why is it that Jews don't believe Jesus Christ was the son of God? These are people's beliefs, some people don't think the way Western cultures do. You are used to things being the way they are, so are they.

It is their religion. Women are second class citizens, and nothing more than property.
