1st of all hippies didn't come along to nearly 2000 years later, His Ideas are the most influential found anywhere, he turned water into wine, note the bible does note the occasional drink of alchol/wine is good for you, over indulgence is the problem, only 2 of his friends were sailors, don't forget the tax collector and doctor. He had a heart for the downtrodden/prostitutes and if you read about sodom & Gomorah you will know that God states homosexuality is a sin in his eyes, however God does not hate them, but rather what they do. that is according to what i've read in the Bible. Oh yeah the DaVinci code, If you read the Foreword,is a book of fiction.

well, we don't know exactly what Jesus looked like...some scholars have even said that, according to the customs of the Jews at the time, he may have been short-- had short hair--and clean shaven. Only 2 of his friends were former fishermen....I am not sure about "hanging out" with prostitutes, i know he did not condemn them and forgave them. Yes, he probably did prefer wine over water...it was the custom to drink wine because often water was not drinkable, unsanitary. I guess you have to decide for yourself if his ideas were strange or not.

The last time I checked hippies didn't walk around healing the sick, making blind men see, raising the dead, turning water to wine, etc.
Yes, he may have had long hair but it had nothing to do with being a hippie -- it was a different culture. As far as strange ideas, wouldn't anything divine sound out of the ordinary to a common man?

He in all probability did no longer have long hair. the type at that factor replace into quite for shorter hair. The long hair and flowing robes in a concoction of the middle a protracted time. Jesus replace into quite fairly conservative, wanting no longer something greater desirable than for human beings to stay by skill of the regulations God gave the Jews by Moses, no longer something greater, no longer something much less. He quite did no longer argue for the dissolution of the kinfolk or enterprise of communes. He did no longer insurrection against the government. in certainty, one in each and every of his greater nicely-conventional sayings replace into to "supply Caesar his due". Jesus ate and drank what all Jews on the time ate, wine, water, bread, fish, lamb, and pork whilst it replace into available. The theory of Jesus as some style of unusual hippy guy relies on the off the wall video clips that have been made approximately him over the final 40 years or so. on account that those movie makers have been frequently hippies, or a minimum of have been prompted by skill of that pass, he replace into portrayed as such. those undergo little resemblance to certainty.

Part true, part false.
To my thinking he was a revolutionary person, he managed to have influence over people, he had another way of thinking about what should the church be, and about the empire. He wanted people to believe in God, and he was against gaining money from it... the 12 apostles all had pseudonymous...
Again, just my thinking

He sounds kinda fruity to me! If you ever watched or read the Da Vinci Code though, you know that Christ was married and had a kid. There's a picture of him and his wife in the Last Supper. She's the one right next to him.
