Don't think so. Gambling is a game of chance of which the individual has a better than 50/50 chance of losing. Las Vegas wasn't built by gamblers winning.
The purchase of stock is a well thought out investment in the future of a company. We are told to be good stewards of the blessings God has given. Investment does involve risk. But remember, the servant who took the talents the master gave him and hid them in the ground so he would run no chance of losing them was called wicked by the master.

Where does it say gambling is not Biblical? It says be a wise steward with your money. If you know what you are doing, the stock market can be profitable and a positive way to invest. Just don't forget to tithe.

I don't think it's the same thing.
When you purchase stocks, since obviously you are trying to make a wise choice, you have a serious expectation of getting something back.
Take the parable of when the Master gave his servants money--they went out "invested it", and made double what they were given. They made wise choices. The Lord expects us to be stewards of what He gives us. Gambling is playing odds that are stacked so incredibly against you, that it's the anomoly when you win.
Just my two cents.:)

I agree, it is little more than a game of chance. It's legalized gambling pure and simple.
Wow, I'm really digging the hairsplitting on this one.

It is gambling. So is day to day living. How can anything possibly upset the All Knowing Deity?

No. Look at Jesus parable of the 10 talents. Each man was given money and two of the men put the money to work to gain more. One didn't and was told to give the money to one of the other men. So Jesus seemed to approve of it.
Remember, its the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil. Money itself is amoral.
