I'm a cytogenetic tech and we spin according to CAP&AGT guidelines which is at 1000rpm for 8 minutes. This will give a pallet of T-cells from the serum for further harvesting and/or to count a "buffy coat"

You will need a clinical centrifuge, up to 6000 rpm or 4100G (RCF value)
