Why do you christians believe that you are the only moral people. Why do you believe that you are the only ones who have a right to make statements about religion?
It seems to me that the ability to have open and honest discourse, poke fun or pick on people who disagree with you is part of our freedoms, and that the process leads to progress, understanding and change.
Is it because christians are so insular in their believes that they can no longer have a rational argument that might undermine the foundation of their belief?

I only posed this question because of the number of posts by christians saying athiests don't belong here.

I am a Christian and it's ok with me if you post here. What irritates me is when I specifically ask a question of Christians because I want a response from Christians the atheists just can't keep from putting in their 2 cents worth. When an athiest asks a question of an athiest I don't respond. I would appreciate the same respect. Not trying to be rude but when I ask a question of Christians I am not interested in hearing from athiests or I would have asked for their input.

We have always had to have arguments about the foundation of our beliefs. As for atheists answering questions, everyone has a right to their own opinion but if they don't believe in religion or God why are they answering questions in the religious & spirituality catagory except to undermine Christians and our faith?

I'm Christian, and I certainly don't think that Christians are the only moral people. Sometimes I wonder if the Jain people have the right idea, or perhaps Buddhists.
There are Christians who are Catholics, Lutherans, etc. We aren't all the same.
Atheists, feel free to post.

Here Here!!
You have made my evening. More power to you.

The "fundie" christians have stolen the word "Christian" much like others have stolen the word "gay"

as you probably know .. although some Christians can discuss things .. many cannot have a rational argument any longer .. for what ever their reasons .. and more and more of them want a Religiously based Police State.

Their reasons which are often circular and are based on their translation and interpretation of the set of books that are collected in today's standard Bible.

Funnana, this isn't the "christian" section

"so, why possible interst would a so-called or self-confessed atheist have with believers like us?"

Religion. We just happen to have different opinions on the matter. I hate religion and what it tries to make me do.

It is yahoo, but they made it a place for religious people and non religious people. If they didn't want religious people they wouldn't have made a plae for religious people to come here.
