I might be to old to answer this for you, cause I'm really not sure what you mean by "get a girl on a date with you". As for pick up lines, don't bother, most girls/women have heard more than our share!! Try being yourself and not someone else. As for actions, you'll be able to tell when the time is right, watch her body language. And to have a good date doesn't mean that you have to spend tons of money. Sometimes is the little things that girls notice! such as, a picnic, picking her a wild flower while on a walk. Just holding her hand while watching a movie.

I think the best thing is to be yourself and not get too far ahead of yourself with the situation if you see a girl and you like her approach her nicely ask her how she is doing and ask her what she is doing tonight if she dosnt have any plans see if she would like to do something if she does have plans ask her for her number and if she
gives you her number awesome ask whens a good time to call her and take it from there. If she says no well it like gambiling just play your cars the worst thing they can say is no. I hope this helps

A bottle of everclear has always worked for me. Get them so drunk that they cant move....talk about having a good time.
BTW...rarely i mean rarely ever do they cry r@pe. so i wouldnt worry about that.
