I have very long fair straight hair, i am horrible at up-dos. Should i have it braided for some time?
I look funny too, i have a very fair complexion, but if it was darker, i would look like a black or mulatto girl, because of my kinda round nose, shape of the eyes and lips.
Also i wonder if braiding would harm my hair.
I am just wondering, really need advice.

Well if ur white and ur hair is fine u should NOT do it, a lot of white women make this same mistake when they go on vacation. Most people braid the scalp and not the hair that means when u see those girls w/ every single strand pulled so hard it looks like they can't blink and u get little bumps all around.when u braid the hair right that will not happen and synthetic hair will choke the hair shaft and the hair it self. And the oil u need to use is called WILD GROWTH OIL all u need is about 4 or 5 drops in the palm of ur hand rub it in ur scalp and hair and do this 4 the next 5 months and only trim ur hair every 5 months so u can see the new growth. e-mail me or im and let me know how it gos.

I see nothing wrong with the way it is in the pic, but if you would like to have it braided then go ahead. I don't think that there are any harmful effects from braiding ones hair, but I am by no means an expert.
Surely a creative person such as yourself could come up with many different styles in which to wear your hair, but again I see nothing wrong with it as is.

braiding can be an great style for an extended period of time. the process can take some time and therefore wearing the style would be best to keep it more than a day or two considering the time to endure while your being done. small braids can be very sexy also.

On your hair, braiding will cause about 10% - 15% damage (meaning: this amount of hair you will lose if you braid.)

Braiding does cause some damage, so it is not best for white hair texture. And it doesn't stay as long. I'd say all out no.

If i want my hair wavey what I do is as quickly as I get out of the bathe brush my hair out then i twist it to the left like take it as in case you have been gonna placed it in a Pony tail then twist then wrap it right into a bun and pin it up! Then sleep in it! interior the morning once you're taking it out that is going to nonetheless be moist so fix it like the type you probably did at night and enable it air dry then while dry and you're taking it out its all notably! Lol :) wish i helped!!

I think your hair is very pretty and you should leave it the way that it is, if you have healthy hair right now, you will damage it badly if you braid it or perm it

Well,.....depends a lot on your hairstylist creativity and your maintainence of crowning glory.....
To me, as long as you have the personality to carry off the hairstyle you desire, it shouldn't matter whatever your hair colour or complextion gives.....
Light coloured hair? You can dye it with darker colours...
Fair skin? A light tan should be alright....somewhat close to light mocha.
Well, if I were you, I could give it a try ....

No one looks funny. Everyone is unique. You've got to do what's right for you. Get it braided. Change is nice.
