No, they are different. It's a nice recipe for the cobbler :

PEACH COBBLER

Its easy as PIE !!! So easy I've been making it once a week!!!

you need....

1 cup Sugar
1 cup Flour
1 cup Milk
1 stick of Butter (melted)
2 large cans of Sliced Peaches

Pre-heat oven to 350 to 375 degrees
pour all ingredients in glass dish that you'll be baking in (large rectangular size works best)
It best to mix all together except peaches and then put peaches in last then stir them in the mixture until evenly spread.

Bake for 30 minutes until light golden brown and let cool but serve warm

You can even substitute the Peaches for Blackberries or Cherries

Pie has a top and bottom crust but cobbler has more of a cake texture. I have a real good cobbler recipe that has been in my family as long as I can remember and people always want the recipe after they have tasted it.
1 stick of oleo or butter
1 large can sliced peaches(drained) - reserve 1/2 c of peach juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
3-4 Tbs sugar
Melt butter in baking pan (I use 9x11 baking pan)
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and milk and pour into the butter.
Spoon peaches evenly over mixture, sprinkle with sugar and pour peach juice over peaches. Bake at 350'F for 50 minutes.

No! Peach pie is a crust completely filled with peaches and whatever else you prefer to use as the filling. Cobbler, at least any cobbler I've ever had, is usually more of a mixture of all the ingredients together - peaches, juice, dough and/or some type of crust, and then baked all together. Sometimes there is a crumb or crust toppping. Your boyfriend has good taste... peach is my favorite too... and I prefer cobbler.

No girl its not. Peach pie is made out of 2 pie crust 1 bottom, 1 top. Its good but not as good as peach cobbler!! The old timey recipe that I have will take to long, and you don't have fresh canned peaches. Will give you a quick recipe! Take 2 pkgs of the Pillsbury Pie Crust.,(or you can buy the generic brand at Wal-Mart, they are just as good. 1st. take 1-2 lg cans of sliced peaches, pour in 3-4qt sauce pan, put about 11/2 cups of sugar, cook for about 30 min(don't let them burn ok?); take the pie crust out of the wraps slice into about 1''wide strips, get sugar, cinnamon,& margarine out & ready to assemble. When the peaches are good & tender, set off the stove, let cool for about 5 min. 2nd. Take the cut pie doe & layer the bottom of a 13x 9 pan, with the doe, leaving about 1/2" strip in between the strips.,layer the doe with peaches, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon & just a dab of butter over the peaches. Keep doing this until you are about 1" from the top of the pan or when your peaches run out. Put cinnamon, sugar, butter on each layer of peaches, ok? Then for the last layer(which is the top) lay strips of pie doe over the top, sprinkly with sugar, cinnamon & then pop into oven for about 45 min at about 300'. It is my "Granny" recipe & a great favorite of my familys. ITs a lot lot better than peach pie, and its really great with Vanilla ice cream served over the fresh out of the oven cobbler!! Hope you like it.!!!!!

Cobbler, has brown sugar, nutmeg, vanilla, white sugar, cinnamon, lots and lots and lots of butter. It is made in a casserole dish, it can have a bottom, sugar is sprinkled on top, brown and white. Girl this one take years of perfection, your best bet, is to find a whole in the wall soul food restaurant that sales it and purchase one, and pretend...., yes I said pretend that you made it. (LOL), good luck to you, I hope you can do it.

Old-Fashioned Peach Cobbler

8 cups fresh peaches, sliced and peeled
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup butter, melted
Pastry for double-crust pie

I don't think so. Peach pie has the peaches inside, and the cobbler has the peaches kinda on top I think.

No, peach cobbler is easier to make than peach pie.

the filling is basicly the same; but a pie has a bottom crust, and fruit pies usually have a top crust. cobblers generally are made in a casserole dish, with no bottom crust, and with slightly sweet biscuit dough dropped to mostly cover the top, but allow a bit of the filling to ooze through.
