you are very right... why would a person be any different than an animal and be granted a soul.. when we all have the same basic needs.. size and intelligence matters that we rule the world, but not that our life should be granted a soul and not them.. either none of us have souls, or our souls are attached to our body so when we die, so does our soul, or different theories of reincarnation come in play. i like that rach girls answer

This is a smart question. Of course animals also have Souls, and even dinosaurs had them.

The Souls, just like life on Earth, evolved from earlier forms into more complex, intelligent and advanced forms. Not all human Souls are of the same age, and needles to say, not all are equally advanced. The Soul of God is the most pure and most advanced Soul of all. Followed with the Soul of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. These three Souls were destined to lead the evolution of humanity.

But there is a very thin dividing line between the Souls of higher animals like dogs and horses and the Souls of humans. You can see that some dogs are incredibly loving and intelligent. They are likely to become human, next time round. Conversely, people who do not live their lives in a dignified manner appropriate for human beings, or perpetrate evil deeds against other people, may come back as some low form of life. The form into which a Soul is born fits its level of advancement and reflects what they earned.

It is important to love and teach animals, that way we are helping them to become more beautiful and advanced Souls. People who love their animals and spend a lot of time with them, become their spiritual parents.

Think of the soul as a person's personality, it reflects the choices you make in life, thus your soul can be saved if you make good choices. The body without the spirit is dead (Bible). We as well as animals are spiritual beings. The spirit is what makes the body alive. Animals could not move without spirit. The only difference is that animals are not going to be judged so the souls are not a part of them.

The soul is the temporal body and the spirit joined together and I believe that all things have a soul. When we die our spirit goes to paradise or spirit prison depending on the kind of live we have lived and our body is buried in the ground or cremated. In the resurrection our bodies and spirits are united again and our souls are saved. I hope this helps in explaining what a soul is.

I'm not sure about a soul, but I believe that the collective consciousness of a bunch of single cells working in conjunction towards sustaining the life of the multi-celled organism is analogous to a soul. Therefore, any multi-celled organism has a soul...

That is just my theory.

i think some animals have souls. Like dogs, cats, lions, dolphins, whales. what i am not sure is the insect population. Because the ants have shown they have some intelligence and they even have a chain of command an infracstruce.

all living things have souls, from what i hear. there's no reason to think about Why they have souls because it wont benefit you to understand the destiny of a fire ant. but if you ever figure it out, write a book and i will deftinately spend money on that book and promote it.

Imagine you have been duplicated, every cell, every molecule, and there is another you right there, identical in every possible respect. If there is some part of you that still says "I am me, and that is not" then you have self awareness, which is as close as anything gets to having a soul. We don't know if dogs and dinos have them or not.

Hi keira, no, animals do not have souls. The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:27 man was created in God's image,
"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."

The Bible says only mankind will be resurrected on the Judgment Day. It makes no mention of animals.

So as much as we want our pets to go to Heaven with us or at least have a special section of their own, this is not in accordance with God's plan.

Well, I'm a "does not" guy myself, but to each their own, I guess.

From a theistic stand point, I would assume animals do have souls, which is either wholly nice (as it would grant them access to Heaven, or its counterpart), or wholly malicious (animals cannot praise Jesus, or Allah, or follow religious scripture, and would apparently go to hell).
