Avoid caffeine and sugar before bed. Try darkening the room if possible. Play some light music in the background. Think of things you enjoy doing that bring you peace and happiness (taking a walk on the beach, or whatever calms you). Picture yourself on vacation. Try counting backwards from 1000. Drink warm milk. Take a hot bath. Read a book. Tell yourself a story you just made up.

i have the same problem right now... drink some hot milk and read a boring book. If it continues to be a problem go see your doctor and get ambien or something similar to help you sleep.

Reading can help you get your mind off your worries and relax you. You can also take a hot bath or drink milk, those are grand-mother remedies, but they work!
