you wait before taking some aspirin. Is it that God doesn't heal people anymore or that we arrogantly set time limits on Him and He refuses to bow to our conditions?

Son, I say to those kind of people: Why not just take an asprin to begin with, and let the asprin do what it was designed to do, unless there are none available, then trust God in prayer for what you can`t do,but if it`s something God has given us to help ourselves, use it, Don`t try to tempt God, just to see what will work first or best, we can ask God to heal us from any kind of sickness, pain and disease etc. But we must ask in faith, in the name of "Jesus Christ," believing and trusting Him, because He is truly able, God healed me from cancer in1976, There is nothing too hard for God, but we must pray and ask all things in His son Jesus name, then WAIT on him, doubting "nothing", and if it be the Lords will, He will do it according to our faith, also there are many times he will allow us to get, or have what we want just because of our faith only. Even if it is not his will. but that is not good for us, when it`s not in Gods will, but because we keep asking, and believing, he will allow it, so how much more for healing? but wait patiently on the Lord, and He will bring it to pass, Now the way to really get healing from God is to "PRAISE" Him, and Worship Him! Always remember there`s nothing too big or too small for God to do.

If I knew that aspirin would heal my headache, I would not want to test God by asking him to do it instead of using the aspirin. But if aspirin or other medication would not do the job I would ask him to get rid of it for me or to show me what to do to get rid of the headache.

If you believe that God can heal you of aches and pains and headaches, then get ready for your healing. If you are skeptical and you doubt that He will do it, then take an aspirin. But I know first hand that God The Great Physician can heal and does heal. I have had RSD - reflex symphathetic dystrophy for 10years, I laid in my bed one night and cried out to Jehova God for a touch of His Mighty Hand, I believed in my heart and my faith in Him was so strong that I knew , that I knew, that I knew, deep within me that I would recieve a healing. By the time I was done praying and commiting myself to my LORD, I was completly healed. Praise HIs Holy Name - Hallelujah!!!
Sometimes people are so confused about the way God works, they think He is just a magician ready to obey their commands. I think they think of Him like a genie or something. He does not work that way, You have got to believe in His Power and His Son. You have got to believe with all your heart that God can do ALL THINGS!!! Ask Him to forgive you of your sins, commit yourself to Him completly, surrender your heart whole-heartedly, not just the part you want to give, but ALL of it. Accept His Son as your Savior and into your life. Then keep your faith and believe in Him. Watch your life change. Miracles and healings and love for your enemies become such a part of your life.
I hope that you can find it in your heart to understand that God is not a genie in a bottle ready to obey your every command, but that He is ready to give to you the desires of your heart if you will just allow Him into your life. Believe and have faith in knowing that God is Mighty.
I will pray for you that you will get the insight that you need to understand.
Peace be with you.

I wouldn't wait long. I don't expect god to take away my pains. I do ask for strength through times of a lot of pain and if god decides to help me out then great. If not, oh well.

We cannot expect God to do everything we ask of Him. He is not our servant. We are His. We must remember that everything good that happens to us is from God and the bad things we just have to do the best we can to take care of them. There is nothing wrong with praying. If it's meant to be, it will be answered.

It's that your arrogant enough to even think that, if God existed in the way you believe, he would do anything to meddle in your trivial daily life when millions of innocents suffer, starve, and die daily. Your perspective is so narrow, both spatially and temporally.

God fixes everything in His own due time. We suffer for many reasons. Sometimes it's because of our own imperfect decisions or sinful state. Other times, it's because of the Devil. Still at other times, things just happen....things that can't be prevented. And sometimes, God allows (that's right, allows, not causes) us to suffer because He's testing our faith, or maybe he's wanting us to develop better qualities like endurance and faith. In any event, the reasons He allows us to suffer is always justified, and we have no right to question Him.

I've always wondered why Christians bother to go to hospitals and let science heal them. Since they claim this god of theirs is so great and loving, you think they'd just sit at home and pray to be fixed.

Just goes to show you how little weight they actually put into their own beliefs.
