Maybe he is just trying to avoid any legal problem he may have if he dates you that is if he´s over 18 and you aren't. If not he gives way too much importance to what other people may think, in that case he is insecure or does not love you enough

Sometimes the age thing can really make a difference. Are you under 18? If so that may explain why he is hesitant to go out with you, and he may think that you might grow up a bit in a years time.
You didnt really give much detail. How old are you, how old is he?
Age can be a big thing for alot of people. Even when ou do turn 18, there are still things you cannot legally do, like drink for example. You may be an adult in the eyes of the law, but you still cannot buy alcohol, you have to be 21 to do that.
Since he is asking that you wait till next year before he dates you I would say that he wont be knocking at your door next year at all. He is probably trying to let you down easy, especially if he likes you at all. He probably doesnt want to hurt your feelings and he most likely figures that within a years time, you will have found someone else to crush on.

how old are you and how old is he. If you are 17 and he is 19 then wait. He is a gentlemen and he is worth the wait if he wants to wait until you're old enough. I am 28 and I'm dating a guy that's 12 years older than I am. Age doesn't make a difference it only does if you are under age.

Some people have age hangups. What I would do is date other guys. If you both are single and you're still interested in 2 years, then hey, go for it. But by then you might completely forget about him and have the guy of your dreams. Remember, you're only young once so don't waste it waiting around for someone who might not be there.

the two yrs part is unimportnat unless we know how old you are. If you areliek 9th gradethen maybe he just doesnt want people to give you both a hard time. If you are 17 then he is a dork.

It sounds like an age think and he is thinking responsibly, bless him. So give yourselves time.I mean I married my husband when he was 20yrs and I was 22.Still going strong. But everyone is different. He may have other things he would like to do with his life as well. Give it time.

you're jail bait and he's still married, i think you should get a clue and let this one go. there's more sushi, I meant "fish" in the sea. Perhaps he's giving you a hint and he wants to play the field and then settle down later when all his flings and booty calls finally stop panning out. what do you think?

how old are u?
if you are under age then you have answered your own question.
if you are of age then this could just be his way of letting you down without hurting your feelings, either way you need to learn that sometimes its just better to move on woth your life
