No, but it is improper etiquette for the people that come over to pick up your medicine bottles and look to see what you are taking.

I don't think it is improper etiquette, but if you are worried about people knowing you are on an anti-depressant I would make a habit of keeping it in private place.

My husband is always yelling at me to "hide" my anti-depressants. HE is embarrassed if someone sees it.

I say, if they are reading a prescription bottle, they are too close!!

I personally don't hide the fact of the medications I take from my family and friends....

however, my husband's family is different, they hide everything from each other and him and his family and friends don't "understand" depression.

So to please him I keep them in a medication drawer.

But I wouldn't worry about it!

BTW, Effexor really messed me up, big time!! I can't believe some people have success with it.

Good Luck

Phil, why do you keep asking these dumb questions about effexor? No one cares that you are taking it, okay? If you want attention go out and do something positive with your life.

That stuff is expensive. If you want it to be there when you next want to take one, you better not leave it lying around. Do you leave your money on your counter when people come over?

HELL YEAH, because the guests will know that you have a mental illness and AUTOMATICALLY think that you're a nut job WITHOUT realizing what type of stuff you're going through!

No, it is quite generous of you. Why is that, you may ask?

Your guest just might need one & they won't have to go home to get their own. :)

NO BIG DEAL. I leave my Zoloft out on my dresser all the time. I don't care who sees it.

Accidents do happen. I would not feel too bad. Just put it up and go on.
