This girl friend and I exchanged a few emails about how I have mixed feelings about her. During a discussion on IM last night, she stated that she really enjoys our friendship and is glad we can still be friends despite my feelings. She then asked me 'you said you wanted to defined my relationship -- like what kind do you want to have with me? We're already friends, ?'. What does she mean by that? Later I told her it's 'impossible' for us to ever be more than friends, and she said, 'That's funny!'. When I said I need to be careful because she is my type, she said "ok, great, I get, next topic, lol" on the next five lines. She then made it a point to tell me that "personally, I'm really glad you think I'm a good friend, because I think you're a good friend too". What is she thinking? I really need to know. Thanks for any help!

Okay. . . do you want to be more than friends? if not, why?? Sounds like she might actually want to be more than friends, but she is being cautious because she doesnt want to be the fool. Tell her how you really feel about her, there is no sense in leading someone on. If you want to be with her, exclusively, then tell her, and if you dont, tell her. You seem a bit confused if you ask me, but on the other hand you seem as though you might actually care about her, and you want to be more than friends. that is because your asking for advise. . . Be honest with yourself and about your feelings for this girl, just hope that you dont realize what you want before its too late. . .

She is attempting to politely communicate to you that she does not want you to think of her in a sexual way, and will never want to be your mate or wife.
However, if you stop hinting she will consider still sending email back and forth.
My advise: Stop hinting; tell her she's a great friend, and a friend only; learn about her life, loves, fears, etc.; and fantasize about her without her knowing. She'll be a true friend; and good in your dreams.

Maybe she wants to be more than just friends with you, but doesn't know how to talk to you about it. She may also feel becoming more than friends will ruin the friendship you already have with her.
