Yes it can, but it is not definitive treatment. You should call your dentist to be seem as soon as possible. If you just CAN'T for a couple of days, cefzil is active against most dental infections. It's only a short-term measure, though.

A tooth infection that is not fully treated can travel into your sinuses and mimic a sinus infection. If your cheek looks swollen, go to a dentist immediately. If the infection continues to build in your sinuses, the pressure can actually harm your eyes, and the infection can escalate overnight, so get help ASAP.

You need to be seen by a Doc or Dentist As soon as possible.
You likely need a full course of antibiotic and you should have x rays of either your sinus or your teeth.
Don't put this off it can worsen and become life threatening if you let it go.
Don't wait.

Antibiotics can only help temporarily. You will eventually have to get it fixed or pulled, but can't do it until the infection is gone. If you don't the absess will return.

you can take the antibiotic but it can only help so much...you need to see a dentist and get the abscess drained
