It's only in the summer. But in the winter after a snow storm it gets up to about 2 feet. Is this ok?

Huge temperature extremes are not good for a dog. If you cannot care for your dog properly do not have one. Your dog needs to be kept from getting too hot and from getting frost bit also. Yeah a dog like that can take some gold weather because of its warm coat, but get real would you want to be in 2 feet of snow even in a fur coat? Would you want to be in the hot sun in a furn coat either? Have some common sense. The dog is a mammal just like you are. This dog needs a moderate temperature and if you cannot care for him or her properly you should not have him or her. Talk to your local veternarian or animal humanine center. I am sure they can tell you what is okay for your area. I know what is okay for where I leave.

Huskies can survive 100º weather, but it's extremely uncomfortable for them, just as it is for us. Maybe you should look into a different breed of dog that will be more comfortable in the heat, and be able to stand the cold. I think most labrador's would do well in both extremes. A Corgi may be a good option if you're not stuck on the idea of a large dog.

Dear no dog can stand 100 degree heat and 2 feet of snow. If you wont this kind of dog would had better figure out just how your going to take care of it before you get it. Maybe a small house dog is what you need I suggest a female they are eaier to train and they make wonderful pet's I had one for almost six years and she dies and there is not a day goes by that I dont miss her. Please think about it before you get something that will in the end be miss treated.

Huskies are beautiful, majestic and extremely violent. I would not recommend a husky to anyone. Per dog, they attack more people than any dog breed recognized by the American Kennel Club. They are far more violent than either dobermans or rottwielers.
I am not saying you should not or cannot own a husky, but I do think you should know that the breed has a history of violence. Huskies are beautiful, but they are a handful.

Yes, we raise wolves and husky mixes and they can stand the weather. I would HIGHLY reccomend that you offer at least 5 gallons of fresh clean water every day and plenty of shade. If you have a long haired animal (or longer hair) consider getting him or her clipped by a groomer to help.
P.S. The coat will grow back before winter so don't worry...Huskies are very resiliant! Just remember to stop clipping him/her the last week of October (or when the temp drops below 65, whatever comes first) so that their winter coat can grow in.

I am pretty sure a Husky can stand 100 degree temperatures...I would talk to a vet or someone who works with animals...that lady above me who's talking to you like you're mistreating your dog...she's just being obnoxious, and the guy who said it might kill your Husky...don't listen to him either. Just make sure the animal gets plenty of water and that you let him in the house quite often.

Im not an expert so i dont really know but i know you arent supposed to shave them because it exposes their skin to elements that it was never intended to be exposed to. Clipping is fine but dont completely shave. and Metatron i think you may be mixed up or something because huskies dont have a reputation of being violent. "Popular as family pets and as show dogs due to their striking appearance and gentle temperament, Siberians have certain drawbacks. Although they have a wolf-like appearance, Huskies can be extremely affectionate, curious, and welcoming to people, which means they rarely hurt humans, making them poor guard dogs." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siberian_Husky

A husky would be really uncomfortable in 100 degree weather. It may even kill him.

Yes, although they may need breaks every now and then. I have a husky in Texas who survives way hotter than that. Bring them in. and above all,
MAKE SURE THEY HAVE PLENTY OF WATER!
