You used to get stamps when you bought things like groceries. You pasted them in a book and when the book was full you could trade it in for something. I saved 10 books once and got a tennis racket.

We merely had S&H eco-friendly stamps & Blue Chip agency stamps in southern California. We had to deliver away for the golf eco-friendly stamp products. We had a blue chip stamp save on the city & I save in ideas it took 14 books of stamps to get a 5 piece set folding television Trays. We licked for a lengthy time period. We also had the matching ice bucket, salad bowls & serving bowl w/tongs & ice tea tumblers. All had the negative white flower trend on eco-friendly with gold trim. So, i'm particular the dual sized sheets were 3 books & the double sized could were 4. I save in ideas the CalKing sized sheet instruments were 8 & 10, relying on the maker & mix. those were such relaxing situations. Stamps gave us something to look ahead to even as i turned right into a baby!

They were a competitor for Blue Chip Stamps. Each one was worth a mil, or a tenth of a cent. Put them together in booklets that they provide, and you can choose merchandise out of their catalogue. I haven't seen them in years, though.

I remember them as a kid,we would go to this place and get them and according to how many you had in a book, you could get whatever merchandise you wanted such as clothing,a radio,tv,toys or whatever. That was the coolest thing.Green stamps really take me back.

back in the 50' and 60' all the business's gave them with purchases, [blue chip stamps also]
that we all saved and put into little stamp books, and they had stores that you could turn them in for all types of household items, dishes, sheets, and gift items...it was great to save them up and use them to get needed and wanted items. i used to save them up and buy Christmas gifts with them, wish it would come back....

You save them up in little books, then trade them in for merchandise. They even have electronic points at http://www.greenpoints.com.
