A farmer has a small boat to carry his stuff in.
He can only cross the stream to (get home) with 1 item in it at a time.

He has with him:
1. A Lion
2. A Goat
3. A bag of Potatoes

If left together, the Lion will eat the Goat!
And the Goat will eat the potatoes if they are left alone!

How does he cross the stream, taking only one item at a time????

1) The farmer takes the Goat with him to the other side.
2) The farmer come back, picks up the potatoes.
3) The farmer leaves the potatoes on the other side and takes the Goat back with him.
4) The farmer leaves the Goat on the shore, and takes the Lion with him to the other side.
5) The farmer leaves the Lion and goes back to the shore to get the Goat.
6) Farmer takes the Goat to join up with the Lion and the potatoes.

Then the farmer cooks the potatoes over an open fire, milks the goat and skins the Lion for a coat. It's cold out there!

Takes the goat across.
Comes back for the lion.
Takes the lion across, takes the goat back to the other side.
Takes the potatoes across.
Comes back to get the goat.

You take the goat first because the lion won't eat the potatoes. Then you come back for either the potatoes or the lion and then come back to get whatever was left.

take the goat first. go back and get the lion. drop him off and pick the goat up again . take the goat back and drop it off as you get the potatoes. take them over to the lion and go back for the goat.

first he must take the goat over and drop him off, then go back and pick up the potato's and take them over, drop the potato's off and take the goat back to the original side, drop off the goat and pick up the lion and take him across and drop him off, then go back and pick up the goat take the goat over again and now you have all 3 items on one side and nothing gets eaten
