Why don't all countries consider beer a food like in Bavaria, and have no VAT / sales tax on it?

Beer, Heinz baked beans, baked potato and a fried egg is all a human needs to live well and healthily, it sounds boring but you could always get rid of the beans, potato and egg to make life more interesting!

You drink it and it has alcohol. And countries need the tax and you really do not have to drink beer. Or coke or soda pops, or coffee or tea. The big difference is it is considered a non-essential, hazardous beverage which most countries want to discourage its over-consumption, not to mention if you are an alcholic you will be addicted and then the states have a very steady income. Bavarians must not need much tax revenues?

simple.. because the people who make those laws here dont drink beer, in fact, they might even be inhuman.. that and they are so very cruel.
