I have this kitten who is about 18 weeks old. She is a typical kitten, all except for the fact that she LITERALLY mauls me to death. She crawls on me and nuzzles into any bare skin available and kneads it. Her favorite place is my neck andI toss her away, because she hurts me while kneading at me... and she comes back, and again I try to get her off me, and she is like a fuzzy, over lovey boomerang. Everytime she notices I am sitting or laying down, she comes up and starts. I don't mind some cuddling from a cat, but she has taken it to the extreme. HELP me by telling me what to do with her. I am at my wits end, and really about ready to get rid of her.

Do you want her? You are more that welcome to have her. I understand she wants my love, but I only have so much to give to a picky psychotic cat. I have tried everything to get her to quit, and I do pet her and love on her, but she is INSISTANT to love me to death!

To all of you who have said I am not cut out to have animals, in my defense, I have had plenty of cats in my years, none have EVER been like this. I know that she loves me, and I love her too, but most times it is over board. She also licks my neck or whatever else is available. I know what it is to have the love of an animal, and I know how to love an animal. So to all of you who don't know me and seem to think I am some sort of mean person, I have one cat I have had for almost 7 years. He is my boy that I couldn't ever have. As far as Miss Frenzi the love kitty, I think I shall try to wait it out for a bit.

Try to decoy your kitty with a sweatshirt that has your scent. Let your cat sleep and knead on it. If the cat wants to knead you, gently place her on the sweatshirt and let her continue. Alternately, wear a thick sweater so the claws don't hit your skin. You can also clip the kitty's claws so they don't dig in when she kneads. On the up side, pets come to reflect their human companions. A loving cat is a sign of a loving owner.

I have 5 cats just like that, and I enjoy every minute of their love. It's a little hard at first juggling that many lovey cats (we ended up having this many because we foster kittens and some didn't find homes.) I think part of their behavior is because of their owners, most of our kittens are like this when they leave our house, not all, but about 3/4ths. Your kitty has nothing else to do but love you. I would just be appreciative of the kind of love your kitty has for you. If you can't stand it, give them to someone who really needs a loving kitty. If you want to keep her, you can always push her away when you don't want loves at that time. I do have to push our kitties away when I'm working on my papers, or when they are hurting me. I'm preggos right now and kitty paws needing my sore chest and tummy usually ends in me pushing them away. Something else I did with my sweet kitty Amy, was that when she was wanting loves (at 4 AM in the morning) I would hug her and put her partway under the blankets (her head was sticking out.) She loved this and just wanted to be close to me. But this doesn't work with all the kitties. Lola just gets out and continues to pester me till I turn to the side where she can't get me. Something I do with Kelko is just really pet him hard, without hurting him. It's what he really wants and then he's done with me and stops kneading me.

Oh gee, this doesn't sound like a problem at all. I'd love to have a kitty like that!!!

She just wants love from you. Please try to see it from her side, and give her the love she needs. I'm sure she'll grow out of it somewhat as she grows older and grows more secure in your love for her. However, she will probably always be a lovey-dovey. You are very lucky to have such a sweet cat!

*******

If I didn't already have 5 cats (!!!) and if we lived within, say, 2 hrs or so of each other, I would gladly take her. If you really can't stand her, then you should find her another home. I'm sure you'll be able to find someone who would love a kitty like that. Good luck to you both.

My kitty does the same, only she licks as well!! I dont mind the kneading but dont like the licking, so I simply put my hand inbetween her tongue adn my body and say NO firmly, if she persists I put a peice of clothing/blanket there, she soon stops as she only want to be next to my skin
She often wakes me up by doing it to my armpit , makes me giggle heaps
SHes still a kitten as is yours, give her time to grow up, u probably drove ur mum mad wanting physical attention when u were growing up, most do grow out of it, mine is nearly 9mths old and has already settled a bit,
Sounds to me though, like ur not really cut out to have animals so young and needing of affection

i wish i could cuss on this site sometimes. you have a loving cat that thinks, because she no longer has her mother, or her kitten brothers or sisters, that you are the mother, the supplier of her life, the big cat, if you will. why in god's green earth did you even
accept the responsibility to take care of this bundle of love? she
has not taken anything to the extreme, she is only doing what is natural to her and that is to accept you, yes, you as her provider and the only way she knows how to thank you is in this form of affection, she don't know when to stop because her love now is endless. if for some reason you can't deal with this type of affection, please find her a good home, she is as you described
her as a kitten that has a lot of love to share.

She's a little kitten...you are her new 'mommy.' She just needs love, comfort and warmth. The kneading comes from kittens kneading their mothers belly to promote milk flow...when they do this to people, they are just comforting themselves. If you aren't enjoying it, you probably should not have a kitten. My 5 month old kitten still does it...even my 14, 13 and 12 year old cats do it sometimes. It means they love me and trust me. 'Tossing her away' is not a good thing to do...it could hurt her physically and emotionally.

sounds like she was weaned too young. Cats that are like that tend to stay like that. You can have her declawed on the front to keep from being mauled, and you can put a bit of ben gay or vicks vapor rub on areas like your neck that she likes the most. The smell should drive her away from those areas. After a couple weeks, she should get broken of the habit. You can try other scents too, like perfumes but the strong minty ones seem to work the best.

Go to a Pet Supply Store, and get a Small Handheld Ultrasonic Noise Maker, usually less than $35.It's Listed as a Dog Trainer, but it Works on Cats too, and it's Harmless. Is there any way that You could get another Kitten, maybe a Male, that's been "Fixed" to keep Her Company ? She's just Lonely, and wants to be with someone, and right now, you're all she has !

You should probably give her to someone that appreciates that kind of behavior. I would take her if I lived anywhere near you.

In the meantime, you can gently move her to an area of your body that is less sensitive. It may take several attempts to get her to stay in that spot. You may have to compromise on the spot a little.

You might try a male cat next time. They don't need people so much.

you may't quite "prepare" a cat you may in easy terms socialize them so they do no longer look to be threatened or scared by ability of latest issues. regrettably after approximately 6 months previous a cat can no longer in all probability be socialized. They study the main concerning to the international around them interior the 1st 3 months. After that they are notably lots set of their tactics. the reason she batted at you when you delivered residing house the different kitten become considering which you smelled like the kitten. Cats could be slowly presented to new pets. in certainty what you're able to do is quarantine the recent puppy in yet another room. convey out a blanket or something that the recent puppy has left its fragrance on. enable your cat get used to the scent. She in all probability won't like it before everything however the extra she realizes that the scent does no longer equivalent probability the extra in all probability that is that she won't see the recent puppy as a gamble. She could be unwell, however the only thank you to make certain for effective is to take her to the vet. If cats are feeling susceptible they'll want to be left on my own woman cats that are actually not fastened could be very unpredictable. They bypass by hormonal transformations purely like women individuals do so this o.k. could purely be her bratty teenage section. Its sounds like she remains notably skittish and that would purely be her character which you will in no way be waiting to alter. the reason i think of that is with the aid of fact she wasn't apart from her brother that long and she or he had lived 10 months with him so she could be attentive to his fragrance and that they could be notably bonded to a minimum of one yet another. in case you moved her out of the residing house and then moved back in she could purely be adjusting to the ecosystem transformations.
